Snapology is the science of snapping toys together.
Well, ok, not really. Snapology is a name which describes a new learning concept that combines play with education. We provide a fun environment for children to learn STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) and literacy concepts using LEGO® bricks and similar building tools.
Playing with LEGO® bricks is educational? Get out!
That’s right! The children will have so much fun, they won’t even realize they’re learning. In our classes and camps, the children are guided by instructors through an interactive lesson followed by model building and/or computer work. Since the children typically work in teams, they also work on social skills as they make new friends. Our programs are designed to inspire creativity and promote teamwork.
Chris lives in central Austin with her husband, two children and unruly dog. Before Snapology, she spent 15 years planning events for several nonprofit organizations, corporations, and the University of Texas (hook ’em). In her “spare” time, Chris serves on the board of directors of Austin Diaper Bank, leads her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, and volunteers with her children with Generation Serve. Please contact Chris if you would like more information about hosting a Snapology event. Chris is a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Kristi traveled the world training employees of various global companies. When the time came to start a family, getting back to Austin was her top priority. She now uses her project management skills corralling three children and a menagerie of pets in South Austin. Please contact Kristi to chat about hosting a Snapology event. Kristi is a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator.
