We had some serious Master Builder action going on over Spring Break! In our Summer Camp Sampler, the kids really channelled their creativity and come up with some amazing models. It’s always a good time when you throw away the instructions.
Covering a table with empty baseplates is to a LEGO enthusiast what unwrapping a blank canvas is to a painter. As you can see, opening up our bins of minifigures and giving unfettered access to a massive supply of loose LEGO bricks makes for some delighted kids. Creative building with a group of other children is already a fantastic way to work on spatial reasoning, fine motor development and collaboration with their friends. It’s fun to introduce our motors and watch as they work out gear ratios, incorporate rubber bands and pulley wheels and axels, and turn their LEGO city into a thriving metropolis!
